Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said Friday he will pick reform-minded people when he reshuffles his cabinet on Monday, following his party's landslide victory in a snap general election last month.

"I will put the right people in the right places, people who are willing to reform," Koizumi told reporters at his office.

The reshuffle, which had previously been expected on Wednesday, is also likely to be accompanied by a top personnel shake-up at the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), giving possible clues on who will succeed Koizumi.
